Yes, you got the crux of the matter, but I am 100% satisfied with the speeds
experienced by me on a line of same speed provided me by TATA Indicom
Broadband. AND I pay Rs. 300 less!!

I have been a subscriber of YOU Telecom (originally Iqara) ever since it started serving in Pune. The reason I subscribed to their services that they were using the world class service network of fiber optic cables of the Indian Railways for landing the connection in Pune from Surat.
I knew using this infrastructure I shall get good quality service!
However this did not remain true for a long time. The services degraded as time passed. Numerous complaints were launched with YOU Telecom (Iqara) but to no avail. Later I decided to call upon the bosses at YOU Telecom (Iqara).
I have AMD Athlon XP 2800+| 64 bit CPU. After installing cpuinfo
I discovered that it was running over 40 degrees celcius. So I searched around to find out what can be done in order to limit the temp.
Here is a very simple recipe.
1. Download,compile and install powernowd
2. Load appropriate modules and invoke powernowd. I have added following in my /etc/rc.d/rc.local
----------------------------
/sbin/modprobe asb100
/sbin/modprobe powernow-k8
/sbin/modprobe cpufreq_ondemand
Again after 3 years, pesticides level found in soft drinks was found way above allowable limits. Coca-cola is spending quite a huge amount on telling people how it is safe to keep drinking the soft drinks. They aired a ad. in which some pestiside experts talks about the pesticides levels. He says that the even the human milk has insecticides. Is this relevent to pesticides found in coca-cola? (which are being manufactured). Instead of spending money on such things, I wonder why not they spend money to reduce the insecticide levels? Does coca-cola think that Indians are guinea pigs? Or something like that? And how can they comment that human milk contains quite high level pesticides? Have they done some research? If yes, they must have spent quite a large amount of money in doing so; instead of reducing the level of insecticides in their products. And if its true, then what is Govt. of India doing? Is government sleeping? There are many NGO's in India which are working on such issues. Are they sleeping also? Well, I am just thinking. Not trying to come to any conclusion. The conclusion which I came to is I am going to stop drinking soft-drinks henceforth (though I drink not more than 1 300 ml bottle per month in a year).
